New (ASPS) Report For Facial Plastic Surgery and Med Spa Procedures

ASPSAccording to the latest report released by American Society of Plastic Surgeons about surgical procedures undertaken by Americans in 2014, there has been an overall growth in cosmetic surgeries by 3 percent, since 2013. During the year, nearly 15 million cosmetic procedures have been carried out along with 5.8 million reconstructive surgeries within America alone. With rapid developments made in the area of plastic surgery and their details easily available online, it has become easier for patients to find the right doctors to carry out the changes they require in Northern Virginia. A surprising fact that has emerged about facial surgeries in the recent report is that “eyelid surgery” or “blepharoplasty” is the third most preferred aesthetic surgery among Americans.

Aesthetic facial surgeries preferred by men and women

While women spent around 10.3 million in cosmetic surgeries showing an uptick of 471 percent since 1997, men were not far behind and spent around 1 million on these surgeries. Most preferred facial surgeries by both sexes were eyelid surgeries that totaled 161,389 procedures, followed by nose surgery which grew by 2.9 percent to close at 147,966 procedures. Every year several patients from Chantilly and surrounding areas like Manassas and Warrenton visit clinic of Dr. Trang Vo-Nguyen to consult with him about surgical procedures that can improve their appearance.

Besides going in for fat reduction procedures like liposuction and male breast reduction surgery, men in Middleburg are also spending on facial improvement surgeries. Popular procedures like blepharoplasty which has grown in demand by 34 percent since 2010, and is just behind facelifts which are in top demand at 44 percent due to new non-surgical procedures which can now be performed at half the cost. The reason behind men preferring plastic surgery in places like Loudoun County and Fairfax is their worry that they look too old for their jobs and may lose out on career opportunities due to age.

Non-surgical procedures for face improvement

Botulinum toxin is the most popular of all non-surgical facial spa processes comprising of 3,588,218 in total within 2014, while hyaluronic acid was second in demand with 1696,621 procedures in all. These figures show that general demand for aesthetic procedures in Chantilly and other parts of the nation is growing at a rapid pace. The statistics for 2014 published by ASPS also show that people between 35 and 50 years of age were the largest group which underwent these surgeries while 31 percent of overall procedures were performed on patients between ages of 51 and 64 years.

Two other most preferred non-surgical surgeries performed on both men and women were non-surgical skin tightening techniques like injections, to remove wrinkles and give volume to the face along with microdermabrasion techniques to remove unwanted marks from the face in places like Prince William and Fauquier like other towns across United States. Though these non-surgical procedures can be done in any medical spa too, patients in Manassas can expect better results under board certified doctor like Dr. Trang Vo-Nguyen. Typical surgeries that people undergo for facial rejuvenation in Middleburg are necklift, eyelift and also recontouring of the jaw.
