Facelift surgery or rhytidectomy is a cosmetic surgical procedure which reduces the facial signs of aging such as wrinkles and folds. Recovery

Subsequently, the patients must ideally follow the cosmetic surgeon’s guideline to sleep in a specific position throughout the initial recovery period. Mentoring will be provided according to individual’s needs regarding activities and routine. Make up and beauty products should not be used until clearance is provided by the surgeon.
Patients should not miss their appointments with the surgeon for the last few stages of recovery as they are crucial in ensuring maximum effectiveness. They will be helpful to monitor and prevent post-surgical complications. After swelling reduces, the patient will grow more satisfied with the treatment.
Risks
Most facelift surgeries provide satisfying results but may come at few risks. Patients allergic to anesthesia may develop some related complications. Risks of surgical infections are prevented by appropriate hygienic standards. Scarring, hematoma and nerve damage are other associated risks which can only be cured by another surgery.
