Who is Suited for Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty?
Upper eyelid surgery may be more suited for patients who suffer from significant drooping of the upper lids, which can cause an obstruction in their field of vision. Lower eyelid surgery will be more effective in cases where the patient is keen to reduce the appearance of droopy or puffy lower eyelids. In certain cases, the plastic surgeon may recommend both lower and upper eyelid lift to meet the patient’s aesthetic goals.
Lower Blepharoplasty
Lower eyelid lift will usually involve surgical removal of excess fat tissue that exists underneath the eye. Loose skin in the upper lids that may be contributing to vision obstruction as well as a saggy or tired look will be trimmed away. Muscle tightening may also be performed in some cases.
Asian Blepharoplasty
